TRON (1982) was arguably one of the most technically advanced film of its age. Using state of the art computer animation, Disney created a world set inside the world of computers. Long before the metaverse(or the internet for that matter), TRON challenged audiences to contemplate the future of technology. AI was a distant danger 50+ years ago. The foundation of science fiction fantasy. As we move into age where where fiction becomes reality, the timing of this film seems especially relevant.
