Estionian Designer & Illustrator Reijo Palmiste has captured our imaginations with a wide range of interface designs that make you feel like you can reach out and touch them.

This is a designer who understands the physical world. How things feel on your fingertips (even the perception of it) is important. AIs don’t have fingers. Or eyes for that matter. Only a human is capable of such creativity.

Reijo reminds us that designing for humans requires a certain level of human understanding. Match that with a grasp of physics, lighting and good old fashioned rendering and you hav a recipe for success.

Here are a few selections that you have to watch more than once. Touch screens are so last year. Bring back things that you can touch. What can I say – I like to push buttons. Doesn’t everyone?
