First Branding Experience
Candace Jarvis knows a thing or two about managing projects – and people. For over a decade, she has worked in the Human Resources sector. Her decision to launch her own HR Consulting company required a fresh and distinct brand. One that she could feel represents her sense of style as well as her vision for this new company.

Articulating a new brand
Candace came prepared. Her years of daydreaming about building customized HR programs gave her a good idea of how she wanted her company to be. All she needed was some branding to wrap it in. This started with the company name JWHR (Jarvis Walsh HR Consulting) and a colour palette that seemed to speak to her personal tastes.

Colours and Typesetting
From a range of font options, Candace chose the Avenir family. This provided all of the ingredients to begin developing some logos and brand components. Sage green (B) serves as the primary brand colour. While the beige (A) acts as an accent colour throughout. The underscore and period in the URL share this tone which became known as the “punctuation colour”.

Logos
The full logo is centred and spelled out. A professional approach. The square logos are perfectly suited for social media profile icons and other small brand touch points – ie: stickers, envelopes and apparel.

“This was a new experience for me. One that I enjoyed and contributed to. Now that it is complete and being used, I feel a sense of pride and excitement about the future of my company.”
- Candace Jarvis, HR Consultant, JWHR
Website
A effective website is key. For this aspect of the project, Candace turned to Sonia Costa and her team at Sevens Creative. Together, Candace and Sonia drew from the established brand ingredients to create a website that could carry the JWHR story. A blend of thoughtful language and clean visuals were combined into a website that looks professional and inviting.

It is also important to note that no AI Art was used to create any of this brand. Chat GPT was also not used to write any of the copy. The most important part of Human Resources is the Humanity. A quality that Candace intends on leaning into as she seeks to redefine HR in this modern age.

Conclusion
This project was well-executed and involved a cooperative team. The results speak for themselves. Take a moment to explore this new company and the services that they offer.
