This piece of digital art is a reflection of the passing of time. As a parent myself, my kids have served as a measuring stick. Watching them get older keeps me aware of my own age and place in this world.

The process
I like to use a light table to trace out important details. The crisp glow in a dark room helps me to drift off into the idea. Using a ruler and a circular template to serve as the base. Vector details and soft digital airbrushing help to bring it to the right place.
