Who wants to go back to Pandora?

Avatar: Fire and Ash is the third installment in the Avatar film series. It is a direct sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water and will be followed by Avatar 4 in 2029. The film is directed by James Cameron, and written by Cameron, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedmanand Shane Salerno).

The film will be released on December 19, 2025 in IMAX 3D and regular 2D formats.

The film will follow the Sully family as they are threatened by Varang (Oona Chaplin), the leader of the Mangkwan clan who have rejected Eywa. After an unexpected death in their family, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) will struggle to prevent further casualties among their friends and family during the Second Pandoran War, including their own children.

Sourced large. The rendering of these images is truly state of the art. A tremendous amount of colour depth and detail. It’s hard to believe the scale of this series and size of the world created by James Cameron. Pandora is about as real as fans would ever hope it to be.

New characters. New challenges and an underlying message about Indigenous People and their place in this modern world.
